1) Trishagni ruminates over the nihilistic ideologies and teachings of lord Buddha, it emphasizes on the ultimate truth of sorrow and enlightenment as preached by the Enlightened One but doesn’t shy away from criticizing it’s strict code of conduct.
2) The bleak discourse of the film digs out how the philosophy, once supreme, has been reduced to a pale shadow of it’s former-self thriving on it’s repressive moral code.
3) There exists a thin line of separation between a hedonistic self-indulgence and primal urges that often engage in a tussle in Nabendu Ghosh’s visual essay and Trishagni is a scathing demand for tolerance.
