Why FiC recommends?
1) Some important subjects need strong treatments to at least make the message reach right people. Patriarchy in India has it’s own texture and sits into the family structure very tightly. Seldom we (Indian film fraternity) have made films with this subject sitting at the very core of it.
2) Some have questioned the way men have been portrayed in this film, but that was needed. In fact, the story isn’t a story here; there are women who are living this reality everyday.
